About Me: Introduction

Hello friends! My name is Lily Peterson and my pronouns are She/Her. I am a current 4th-year at the University of Washington and will be graduating with degrees in Education, Communities, and Organizations and Global Health in June 2020. While I came to the University pursuing Public Health, the opportunities I had to participate in student-centered work changed my trajectory to Education and ultimately defined my Undergraduate experience. I currently work as a Peer Adviser with UAA Advising and teach a course with the OMA&D EOP Advising team, but in the past I have been a Student Coordinator for Orientations, a Logistics Coordinator, and an Orientation Leader with First Year Programs, served as a member of the First-Year Experience board with the UW student government, and interned with the Educational Opportunities Program. Outside of campus activities, I have also been very involved in my off-campus housing community, Vision16, for the last four years and currently serve on a leadership team there as well.

When I am not in class or in Mary Gates Hall working, you can probably find me dog-watching at Greenlake Park, hiking in the Snoqualmie area, or eating carne asada burritos at Tacos Chukis in Capitol Hill.
